Polish immigrant and mathematician Stan Ulam moves to the United States in the 1930s, building a new life as his work places him close to some of the most consequential scientific developments of the era. As he faces painful losses among family and friends, Stan continues to apply his brilliant mind to projects that help shape the hydrogen bomb and the first computer.
