Amadeus

In 18th-century Vienna, disciplined Italian court composer Antonio Salieri watches the arrival of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, a young Salzburger whose irreverent manner contrasts sharply with his extraordinary musical gift. Awed by Mozart’s talent and unsettled by his hedonistic behavior, Salieri’s admiration gives way to jealousy and resentment as Mozart rises within the imperial music scene.
