Appropriate Behavior

Shirin is trying to be everything she thinks she should be: the ideal Persian daughter, a politically correct bisexual, and a hip young Brooklynite. But each role proves harder to inhabit than it looks, and her attempts to fit neatly into any of them keep falling apart. Without a familiar identity or cliche to lean on, she finds herself caught in a lonely struggle to figure out where she belongs.
