Jacq Vaucan, an insurance agent for the ROC robotics corporation, is assigned to a routine case involving the possible manipulation of a robot. What begins as a standard investigation soon leads him to an unsettling discovery, one that reaches far beyond company procedure and raises consequences that could affect the future of humanity itself.
