Ayar

Ayar, a first-generation American Latina, comes home hoping to reunite with her daughter. Her plans are stopped by her mother, Renata, who refuses to let Ayar see her because of Covid. As the separation forces old tensions to the surface, Ayar faces the many roles she has been made to play in her life, including the role she occupies within the film itself.
