Wealthy, fun-loving businessman Thornton Melon wants to push his uninspired son, Jason, to stick with college. Deciding that encouragement is not enough, the self-made millionaire enrolls at Jason’s school as a student himself. As Jason tries to fit in with his classmates, Thornton faces campus life in his own brash style while struggling to earn his son’s respect.
