Linda Watt, a sheltered but brilliant young scientist, is taken out of her company lab and sent to India by her CEO to promote Rice 9, the genetically modified rice she created. Believing her work can help local farmers, Linda throws herself into the assignment, unaware that the product she is selling could ruin the very people she hopes to support.
