A young American couple travels to Iceland for a romantic getaway, only to wake one morning and find that every other person on Earth has vanished. Alone in an emptied world, they face the practical struggle to survive while trying to understand the impossible event, forcing them to question what they know about themselves, their relationship, and the world around them.
