Carmen Jones

In this contemporary musical version of Bizet’s opera, an all-Black army camp becomes the setting for a charged romantic triangle. Carmen Jones, a civilian parachute maker whose confidence draws the attention of many men, sets her sights on Joe, a soldier engaged to the gentle Cindy Lou and preparing to leave for pilot training during the Korean War.
