In 1970s Berlin, a teenage girl is drawn into heroin addiction, and the world around her begins to change in frightening ways. As her everyday life slowly distorts and slips away, she becomes close to a small group of young addicts and falls in love with a drug-abusing male prostitute, pulling her deeper into a harsh and unstable new reality.
