David is a home care nurse who works closely with terminally ill patients. Careful, committed, and deeply involved in his profession, he forms strong bonds with the people he looks after and becomes an important presence in their daily lives. Away from his patients, however, David’s own life feels far more distant and unsettled, revealing a sharp contrast between the care he gives and the world he returns to.
