Vincent LaMarca is a respected New York City police detective who has spent his life trying to escape the shadow of his past: his father was executed for the kidnapping of a child in the 1950s. But the distance he has built begins to collapse when he discovers that his own son has fallen into crime and is now suspected of murder, forcing Vincent to face the legacy he tried to leave behind.
