In post-Sept. 11 Los Angeles, racial tensions surface through a series of intertwined stories unfolding over 36 hours. A Brentwood housewife and her district attorney husband, a Persian shopkeeper, two police officers, a pair of carjackers and a Korean couple are drawn into one another’s lives as their separate conflicts collide across the city.
