Laura visits a boarding ranch in the country to learn horseback riding, but what begins as a simple stay away from home takes a devastating turn. When her daughter is brainwashed by a cult, Laura’s mother refuses to give up on her. Over the next five years, she struggles to bring her daughter back and break the hold the group has over her.
