Critical Thinking

Based on a true story from 1998, Critical Thinking follows five Latino and Black teenagers from an underserved Miami neighborhood who find purpose and discipline through chess. Guided by an unconventional but inspiring teacher at Miami Jackson High School, the students push past low expectations and fight for a place at the U.S. National Chess Championship.
