Diary of a Madman

French magistrate Simon Cordier, also an amateur sculptor, becomes the new target of a malevolent force after it leaves the body of a death-row criminal. The entity, known as a horla, is invisible but physical, with the power to move objects and control minds. As it takes hold of Cordier, his ordered life is drawn into the influence of something he cannot see or easily resist.
