Exorcist: The Beginning

In 1947, Father Merrin has abandoned his faith and left his life in the church behind. In Kenya, he joins an archaeological excavation where an ancient buried church has been uncovered beneath the earth. As the dig continues, Merrin is drawn toward a presence far older than the ruins themselves, leading to his first encounter with the demon Pazuzu years before the events involving Regan MacNeil.
