Flashdance

Alex Owens is an 18-year-old amateur dancer in Pittsburgh, working days as a welder and performing nights at a dance bar. Caught between two demanding jobs, she holds on to a bigger dream: earning a place at the city’s ballet school and becoming a successful dancer. With support and encouragement from Nick, her boss and lover, Alex tries to turn ambition into a future.
