In early 1960s Baltimore, a teenage girl dreams of stepping out of everyday life and onto a popular television dance show. With her sights set on appearing before the cameras, she holds onto the hope of turning her love of dancing into a chance to be seen, imagining a place for herself among the performers on the show she longs to join.
