A teenage runaway falls under the influence of a self-styled messiah who brings her into his isolated cult of sister-wives. Expected to submit to the rules of the patriarch and his community, she instead pushes back against the control around her. As her rebellious nature unsettles the group, the fragile order begins to crack, setting the stage for a violent uprising.
