In Victorian England, Mortimer Granville and another doctor treat women’s ailments through a medical practice involving manual stimulation of the female genitalia. Framed as legitimate science of the era, their work leads Granville toward a new device designed to make the treatment easier, resulting in the invention of the first vibrator.
