In Monterrey, Mexico, a young street gang builds its days around parties, friendship, and dancing to slowed-down cumbia. Their leader feels rooted in the music and the world they have created together, but a mix-up with a local cartel forces him to leave for the United States. Far from home, he struggles with displacement and the growing pull of the life he left behind.
