In Sweden, hundreds of refugee children who have fled extreme trauma with their families face an uncertain future and the threat of deportation. Under this pressure, some withdraw from the world into a coma-like condition known as Resignation Syndrome, or uppgivenhetssyndrom, remaining frozen and unresponsive for months or even years.
