Lilting

After a young man of Chinese-Cambodian descent dies, his isolated mother and his lover of four years are left to mourn him from separate worlds. They do not speak each other’s language, and the distance between them is shaped by silence, loss, and everything left unsaid. As they struggle to understand one another, their shared grief slowly draws them closer.
