Dae-soo and Mi-ra become parents at just 17 when their son, Ah-reum, is born. Soon, Ah-reum is diagnosed with progeria, a rare genetic disorder that causes his body to age far faster than normal. Sixteen years later, he faces life in the body of an elderly man and finds comfort in writing the story of how his young parents fell in love.
