Joanna is a middle-aged high-school teacher trying to hold together every part of her life: devoted daughter, relaxed mother, grandmother, wife, lover and housewife. To others, she seems capable and caring, someone who manages each role well. But the more she gives, the less she feels like herself, and her patience begins to fray as she keeps a secret double life from everyone around her.
