After his fiancee is brutally murdered, Hollywood screenwriter Don Malek retreats to a seedy hotel, where grief turns into a plan for revenge. As he works on a dark new script, the violence on the page begins to mirror what he is willing to do himself, and Don moves from imagining a bloodthirsty killer to carrying out the dirty work with his own hands.
