During the Great Depression, two drifters move from place to place looking for farm work and a chance to earn enough money to build a better future. One is a nomadic laborer who watches over his friend, a gentle giant with a slow mind and simple hopes. As they work the fields together, their loyalty and shared dream become a fragile refuge in a harsh, uncertain world.
