Old Yeller

In 1860s Texas, young Travis Coates is left to help care for the family ranch while his father is away on a cattle drive. With his mother and younger brother depending on him, Travis takes his responsibilities seriously. When a stray yellow dog wanders onto the homestead and refuses to leave, Travis is reluctant to accept him, but the mongrel soon begins to prove his worth to the frontier family.
