Out-Takes from the Life of a Happy Man is an autobiographical diary film built from brief scenes left unused in completed films shot between 1960 and 2000. Assembling fragments of family, friends, city life, and travel, Jonas Mekas interweaves images with reflections and music, shaping decades of discarded footage into a quiet meditation on memory, happiness, and the passage of time.
