In 1930s France, two sisters perform in Paris with a reputation for a rare supernatural gift: they are believed to be able to communicate with ghosts. Their appearances bring them into contact with a visionary French producer, whose interest draws their unusual abilities into the world of performance, ambition, and possibility.
