Playing for Time

A Jewish songstress is taken from the stage and sent to Auschwitz, where she joins other female prisoners with musical talent. Spared from death because they can perform, the women are forced to play for their Nazi captors and face an unbearable assignment: using music to calm fellow prisoners who are being sent to the gas chambers.
