After inadvertently causing his lover’s death, a guilt-ridden geneticist becomes consumed by the mystery behind his disturbing previsions of impending deaths. As he searches for the gene that may trigger these visions, his work turns increasingly obsessive, forcing him to confront the moral weight of his abilities and the consequences of trying to understand them.
