In a future society, people give up the ability to dream in order to extend their lives, trading imagination for a form of immortality. But a few dangerous outcasts still dream, and their visions can bend the fabric of time. Through five dreams tied to the senses, the film moves across periods of cinema, following one outsider into a world of illusion, nightmares, and strange beauty.
