On the Red Crow Mi’kmaq reservation in 1976, government decree forces every Indigenous child under 16 into residential school. For a Mi’gMaq teenager, St. Dymphna’s is a place of imprisonment, abuse, and fear, controlled by the sadistic Indian agent known as Popper. Refusing to accept his power over her community, she begins to plot revenge.
