Riding in Cars with Boys

In 1965, a 15-year-old girl with hopes of becoming a writer becomes a mother far earlier than she expected. As she tries to hold on to her ambitions, she faces the pressures of raising a son, entering a troubled marriage, and building a life with the child’s father, whose drug addiction makes their future increasingly difficult.
