In 1970s Australia, dedicated activist Lance Gowland becomes part of the fight for gay rights as authorities stall the move to decriminalize homosexuality. While he joins others in protest and pushes for change, Lance also faces the personal strain of coming to terms with his sexuality and balancing the demands of work, family and relationships.
