Sami Blood

In 1930s Sweden, 14-year-old Elle Marja is a Sami girl from a reindeer-breeding family, sent to a boarding school where she faces racism and degrading phrenological examinations. As the pressure to reject who she is grows, she begins to imagine a different future. But pursuing that life means taking on a new identity and cutting herself off from her family, culture, and past.
