A Japanese-Canadian woman is struggling with the death of her mother when she brings her family to a retreat. Away from home, her grief and her strained relationship with her husband begin to weigh on their children’s sense of safety and stability. As the family’s private tensions surface, each of them is forced to face the emotional distance growing between them.
