Silent Night, Deadly Night

As a child, Billy Chapman watches a man dressed as Santa Claus murder his parents, after his grandfather warns him that Santa punishes the naughty. Raised in an orphanage under a cruel, sadistic nun, Billy grows up haunted by fear and violence. Years later, at 18 and newly out on his own, he is asked to step in as a department-store Santa, forcing his buried trauma to the surface.
