Uptight David Starsky and laid-back Ken Hutchinson are paired for the first time as undercover cops, and their clashing styles make the job anything but simple. Cruising the streets in a red-and-white Ford Gran Torino, the new partners work to bust criminals and solve an important case with help from street informant Huggy Bear and persuasive criminal Reese Feldman.
