The Abominable Dr Phibes

Dr. Anton Phibes is a doctor, scientist, organist, and biblical scholar consumed by grief after the death of his beloved wife. Blaming the nine doctors involved in her failed operation, he sets out to punish them one by one. Drawing on the Old Testament for inspiration, Phibes turns his learning and obsession into a series of elaborate acts of revenge against the surgeons he holds responsible.
