The Conductor
United States, 1926. Dutch immigrant Willy Wolters is 24 and has lived in America since arriving with her parents as a child. She dreams of becoming a conductor, but the people around her refuse to take the ambition seriously because she is a woman. As she pushes toward a place in a world that dismisses her, Willy moves toward the identity by which she will become known: Antonia Brico.
