The Doctor

Jack McKee is a successful, wealthy doctor whose confidence has hardened into self-centered detachment. When he is diagnosed with throat cancer, he is forced to experience medicine from the other side of the exam room. As hospitals and doctors become part of his own life as a patient, Jack begins to understand the need for empathy and to see that healing involves more than surgery and prescriptions.
