The Flowers of War

During the 1937 Japanese invasion of Nanking, an American man takes shelter inside a church, where a group of women has also sought refuge from the violence outside. To protect them, he assumes the role of a priest and tries to guide the women toward safety, relying on the disguise as danger closes in around them.
