For nearly 90 years, Hill House has carried a grim reputation, with those who live there meeting strange and tragic ends. Dr. John Markway gathers three strangers at the eerie, isolated mansion under the cover of a sleep-disorder study, but his real purpose is to investigate whether the house is truly haunted.
