After being found badly wounded near a village, the stranger Thaddeus is taken in by miner Li Kung and his wife, Ah Ni, who offer him refuge while he recovers. As his strength returns, Thaddeus is drawn into the villagers’ struggle against the cruel Master Ho, his dangerous Beetle Clan, and the fearsome Lord Pi.
