In a dystopian future where humanity has vanished, the last human is raised in isolation by a machine. With no other people to know or learn from, he grows increasingly burdened by loneliness and the limits of his world. As the machine guides him through the teachings of a mysterious religious Manual it calls holy, he begins to question what he has been taught and what it means to be human.
