After his fiancee, Lori, is killed in a car accident, Doug withdraws from the world and moves alone into the isolated farmhouse that was meant to become their family home. Surrounded by quiet and grief, he cuts himself off from friends and society, hoping to endure his loss in solitude. But as the days pass inside the quaint rural house, Doug begins to realize he may not be alone.
