The Ninth Gate

An unscrupulous rare book broker is hired to track down and authenticate the last known copies of The Nine Gates of the Kingdom of Shadows, an ancient text said to hold the power to summon the Devil. As he investigates the surviving volumes, his assignment draws him into a disturbing series of paranormal events that suggest the book may be more than a collector’s prize.
